I have been trying to fix a problem with my system to save my .slddrw drawings into .dwg format ( https://forum.solidworks.com/message/355545#355545 ) and I found the command in the Edit menu for "Copy to DWG format".

I tried it and it gave me a message about the drawing scale being off (not a part of the problem) and after I clicked ok it just ended with no other messages and it did not create any new files anywhere on my computer (I searched all drives).

I also saw a command for "Copy to Adobe Illustrator format" and got the same response.

Does anyone know what these do and how?

I looked in the help files and they were less than worthless - did not even come up knowing these commands.

I tried to get on the knowledge base and get the same message as yesterday that the site is down for maintenance for 1 to 2 hours so that was worthless.

Is this the same as going to the File Menu, clicking save as and then selecting the file type of dwg?
