I know how to create a derived configuration .
But now I wish to create a configuration on top of my already created configurations (will become derived configurations of the newly created configuration) , anyone know how to do that ?
Thanks.

What if I'm not using a design table ? Anyway to add in new configuration as a parent configuration ?
Even if you don't need the design table you could create one just for the purpose of making a new parent config, then delete the design table.
hmm, I wish I could find that original discussion, I could swear they found a solution. Sorry I can't remember the details. I don't think this is the one I was thinking of but see if this thread helps: Adding all existing configurations to one main configuration
I can't find the original discussion but I am pretty sure I read that configuration parent/child relationships can be altered in a design table. I forgot how a derived configuration is indicated in the DT and unfortunately I don't have excel on my home computer to test it out with, but hopefully that can point you in the right direction.
