I have created a transition and it will flatten fine but I cannot get the bend lines to appear. I there a better way to do this? I cannot have the 2 sketches on parallel planes.

Gary,,, When you start the loft command you have the option of Bent or Formed. In your case you want Bent. Once you make the selection and create the loft there is no going back to change it. You need to use Bent in order to have any bend lines.
I saved your Loft out as another part. This has your Formed Loft and my Bent Loft (one on top of the other. You can use mine in order to see how I did it. When you redo yours in your multi-body part it will undoubtedly cause some problem which will have to be resolved.
No Gary,, I think you can do this in a multi-body part. Right now I'm wondering why you are not getting the full Lofted Bend Manager. When I attempt to do another loft in your file I get the same dialog as you do. When I start a new part I get the full dialog. ??? Is the part I sent you behaving properly on your system? I noticed that I should have broken all references to your file before I sent it.
What happens when you start a new part and attempt a simple loft? Do you get the full property manager then?
Do you get the full dialog on my part?
Yes when I open yours I have all the options available and when I start from a new file I have all the options.
I think it has to do with the "convert to sheet metal" I used in the main part file. I ran into an issue with that before where the converted part does not show the bend lines on the drawing even though it shows them on the part. But I am not willing to rebuild this one from scratch. I just don't use the convert to sheet metal command anymore.
Not sure why SW would have that "convert" command when it will not work properly.
I think my only option right now is to make the transition from scratch and add it as an assembly.
Thanks for all your help.
