Exert force on split faces

Similar to my other post, I'm trying to simulate a load pulling down on a hook. I thought it might be more appropriate to open another post since it's a somewhat generic question.

I'm comparing the results I get from exerting force on the same surface area with and without split. For instance, if I exert 50N on these two faces only, I get up to 300MPa.

However, if those two faces are split into 6 and these 6 faces are chosen, I get up to 850MPa

How come the results can be so different when they're effectively the same faces, same area?
