Sorry to post a such a simple question, but it's not clearly found on the web pages that describe the Standard and Professional levels of use.
Is anyone using the subscription services to acquire leads? Is it helpful or worth it?
Yes. I am a DS SolidWorks employee. The catalog creation process only takes a few minutes and you can see the manage subscription page without uploading any of your company's products. Let's continue this conversation offline.
3D ContentCentral is included in your subscription service fees. It's for acquiring leads if you post parts there, but not as a SW user. 3D ContentCentral
Thx Steve, There are two subscription levels noted on the 3D ContentCentral site that are above the free bit most people use (Standard & Premium). The 3D ContentCentral subscription will provide the sales lead info, based on who downloads your models. The cost of these subscription services is not clearly listed, and that is the info I'm seeking. Since the services are straightforward, and the service use will be doing the work, the fees are probably fixed. I just don't understand why they are not posted.
If the additional levels are free, well, then they should be labeled that way. However, I don't think this is the case.
Does anyone use this service?
3D ContentCentral Subscription service levels
Industrial Component Supplier companies with a catalog have the option of purchasing a Standard or Professional subscription for their catalog with added features, such as increased disk space, verified supplier status, web syndication, and leads. In order to see the price of the subscriptions, we recommend that the supplier create their catalog and go to the Manage Subscription page that shows up under the Subscription menu in the header after the creation of the catalog.
I'm curious, do you work for DSS? Is there any way to get a ball park cost before I go through the time investment you described? Are the fees flat, or are they based on my library size/type? I have posted models before as an individual, years ago, to the 3DCC community, just for fun at no cost. For my employer, however, it sure would be nice to be able to tell them, "It will cost us $xxx.xx to use 3DContenCentral as a sales lead resource." From what you're telling me, I need to create & submit my library of parts in the system, then I can upgrade my subscription to get the leads.
If the fees are flat, can you share them in an email or message format? If they are scaled, please let me know. I don't have time to commit to the process you described prior to deciding how we will distribute our models. I am currently building our library, and we are reviewing publishing options. Without cost information, 3DContentCentral will most likely be left out of the decision process. I hope you can help me with this information.
