Unable to add draft to surfaces

Hi!

 

I have this part which is essentially a ring for die-casting in aluminium, which I thought is rather simple. However, I can't seem to add drafts to the following surfaces:

In fact, I have issues adding fillets to the edges between the boss inside and the inside of the ring.

 

Does anyone know how it can be fixed?

Correct Answer

John,

If you select the neutral plane surface from either side of your extrude 3 feature it works.

I suspect that picking a neutral plane so far away that SW doesn't know what to do when the 2 surfaces each side of the hole become 1 feature.
