I can't find the setting that will allow me to add to the hole callout.
I would like to add descriptive text to the existing hole information, but whenever I attempt this, it will not let me edit any of the text in the hole callout.
it sounds like the last time the warning about breaking the link(s) in the hole callout came up you selected to not make the changes AND to not be asked again - check your dismissed messages in the system options.
Have you create your holes with Hole Wizard and used the Hole Callout command?
Yes. The hole callout info shows up correctly, and in the correct format, but I want to be able to add information, such as "M6 CBORE" or some other such thing.
Our shop is mostly an English operation, so most callouts are spec'd in inches.
You can add whatever you want in the Dimension Manager. Just don't overwrite or try to change the existing information (without a good reason).
I know that you should be able to, but I can't. SW won't let me. When I try to type anything, it kicks me back to the beginning of the first line, and nothing happens. I can navigate my curser around the dimension manager box, and even highlight text, but I can't type any text.
Oh,, Make sure you are completely at the end of the line of existing text. Hit "end" on the keyboard then "enter" before typing.
Good call Jeremy.
Excellent! Thanks for the help Jeremy!
