I am not able to run any sub-menu under Tools->Macro. All of them crash Solidworks. I use Win7, SW 2014 SP2 x64.
Had anybody gone through this and any clues?
Appreciate any response. Thanks.
Thanks a lot Roberto. That fixed my issue.
Two days ago it happened exactly the same thing on me... Should be removed and put again
By the way, I have exactly same configuration on PC like you... I use Win7, SW 2014 SP2 x64.
Thanks for response.
what do you mean by "Should be removed and put again" ? Uninstall and re-install Solidworks?
Remove the macros or macro button and add them again.
Tried but no luck. Not able to record any macro at all. It crashes Solidworks right away.
What is your SW version and SP? Also what OS you're using?
the problem should be created by a Windows update, the KB3072630.
This service pack is going to change a few references to VBA and is detrimental to some programs.
You must uninstall this service pack, and then reinstall SolidWorks.
I am running SolidWorks 2015 as well and I am experiencing the same problems. However, update KB3072630 was not installed on my computer. Therefore, it's not the problem...
Does anyone know what might be the problem? I used to have 2013 and had the same problem.
What happens is when I click on anything in the macros like Create New Macro or Edit Macro, I get a message saying "SolidWorks 2015 encountered a problem and needs to close".
Take a look to Microsoft on how to fix the problem they created.
I hope you can be of help.
I am having exactly same problem. My SolidWorks 2014 and 2015 crash everytime I want to Run any Macro Tool. I have unistalled both SolidWorks versions and afterwards Security Update KB3072630 and now I am installing SW 2015 again. I will let you know how it ended up.
What do I do if update KB3072630 was never installed and I still have the same problem with macro's crashing SolidWorks every time?
