Thanks for the help, but this isn't the solution for my problem
If you have it you might want to try "Feature Recognition" in order the turn the wheel into something you can work with.
Edit: Of course I'm assuming the wheel off the web is not a SW part but an imported part.
I think this could be the solution for my problem but when I click on "Feature recognition" it occurs an error that says: " The part contains solids in revolution. FeatureWorks can not proceed". (I have SW in italian so the translation of the error could be a little different). How can I solve this problem? thanks
If Feature Recognition isn't working then you could try to Scale the wheel to match your needs - go insert/features/scale - The problem with this is it will scale everything...
It may be a good for you to model your own wheel to the size you need, at the same time you would gain SW knowledge..
Hi Nicolo.
In an assembly click on a part and then click 'Edit Part', or edit component on the top ribbon
This opens up the Edit part mode where you can make your changes.
The part to edit remains solid, other parts become transparent.
When you have finished the editing, exit out of this mode by clicking the edit component button again.
This takes you back into the assembly mode
