When trying to print a drawing, solidworks 2015 print service is thinking that the drawing is a model. any solutions? see attached jpgs
If this just started, have you shut down your computer and re-started it? If that doesn't fix it, then I'm all out of ideas.
this actually started last Thursday. i've uninstalled and reinstalled solidworks 3 times and it still hasnt fixed it.
Check your printer drivers or settings outside the SOLIDWORKS and do report to your VAR.
Sorry but I'm a bit confused - both of the jpg's you attached are for drawings
Looks like two different printers on separate IP addresses. Is it behaving like this with only one printer ? Does it work correctly with others printers/plotters ?
Can you not just select the required option and then print?
Does the Page Setup specify Use system settings or Use this document settings ?
it doesnt matter what i do, when i try to print, doesnt matter what printer i select, what size print i select, what scale i want it to print too, it prints 1:1 to 8-1/2" x 11"
If the print preview looks OK, but doesn't print correctly, it's most likely to be a printer driver problem.
Can you clarify what you meant by the title, "solidworks 2015 thinks some drawings are models" ?
I don't understand the correlation between the title and only being able to print letter size drawings.
This is his issue, both printer should treat the drawings as drawing and not model
thank you Deepak
OK, I understand that (thanks Deepak), but that doesn't explain only being able to print 8-1/2 x 11. That is most likely a printer driver issue.
i have uninstalled and reinstalled solidworks 3 times. cleaned the registry 3 times of anything pertaining to solidworks, and removed and reinstalled the printers 3 times. i am thinking that there is something in the registry that is causing this and i cant find it. i can print just fine from any other software, i.e. word, excel, adobe... i am guessing that i am the only one out of the millions of solidworks users that has ever had this problem.
Are the printers being installed from a CD/DVD?
Are you updating the drivers online after installing?
Can you post your computers specs?
Can you run the SOLIDWORKS Rx > Diagnostics tool and post the results here?
printers were installed from the network and are the latest and greatest from the printer manufacturers.

Jim, you might try System Restore, back to when everything was working.
