I have 2 LIB FEAT Profiles, used check sketch, will extrude, can't get Weldments to form. I've created other custom Weldments before and never had issues that couln't be fixed with check sketch. Help.
Did you have the sketch selected when you saved as .sldlfp? See #8 here: Frequently Asked Forum Questions .
I did, the sketches in both files are "added to Library". I've tried removing from library, saving and adding back to library saving, nothing has worked yet.
When you open the .sldlfp file, does it have the green L on the sketch, as in the screenshot referred to above?
Can you post the .sldlfp file?
Both .SLDPFP files I was having issues with are in the .rar folder I attached on my first comment. I got frustrated and just re-imported the DXFs I used and now they work. Still would like to figure out the issue though.
If you'll click on the text "Use advanced editor" at top right of the Reply box, then there will be a link at lower right to post files here directly. I'm glad you got the problem solved by starting over, but if you'd like to post the file I'll take a look at it. Apparently I need to download some software to open your .rar files, and I'd rather not do that.
Glenn, here it is zipped.
Thank you Ingvar. But I still can't help. I wasn't able to open either of the files, and when I tried copying and pasting them into my library nothing happened. Sorry about that.
Are you using 2015 to open these?
I opened it up by dragging the .sldlfp file from windows explorer to SW. Noticed that there was no origin in the design tree (never seen that in my 16 years using SW. Always something new) and no sketch points.
Opened up an old .sldlfp file from my self deleted what was inside my sketch except one sketch point, copied and pasted the sketch from the file. tried it out and it worked that way.
SW 2015. sldlfp file
Not sure what the problem was either. I created a second file of the same thing, opened dxf, copied content, pasted as 2D object into soliworks saved as sldfp no problem second time round. Working now thanks for input.
