In EPDM, is it possible to have a new assembly use a previous version of an existing part in the vault?

Hello SW Community,

Short version:

Our company makes wheels. We just implemented EPDM in the past month, as well as making changes to the overall design across all SKU's. It has been a mess sorting this out. We intentionally uploaded our all our wheel designs to the Vault as per the old design (call it Rev 004), so we could then immediately turn around and up-rev it to retain the history. All SKU designs are now at Rev 005, but the tooling on a specific SKU has not been updated (still at Rev 004) yet due to timing. We have a new customer with a deadline we have to meet, and we do not have time to update the required 004 tooling to 005. That being said, this new SKU that I am adding has to be built per the 004 specs with the existing tooling. Without creating a separate wheel design, or permanently rolling back to 004 (which will affect all our design work), can I build this new SKU based on the 004 design without affecting the rest of the parts?

Thank you in advance for your help,
