SolidWorks "Expired Subscriptions" will be switching to a “full backdating” format 1/1/16

Discussion created by Rick McDonald on Aug 3, 2015

Last Friday I got some bad news.

SolidWorks will be switching to a “full backdating” format 1/1/16.

I suggest anyone that does not keep all their SolidWorks subscriptions (for any products) current at all times read this and pass it to the decision makers at your company so they are aware of the significant cost increase that you will face if you let your subscriptions lapse and renew at a later time.

I started a discussion on the forum https://forum.solidworks.com/message/515375?et=watches.email.thread#515375

There have been a few posts that also have confirmation and information about this change in SW policy.
