I want to have arrows pointing to multiple features from the same dimension text. How do I do that?
Just to be on the same page, is this what you're looking for?
If so, to do this you can hover your cursor over the arrow of the dimension you want to make more leaders for. When you're hovering over the arrow your cursor will have an icon next to it with an arrow pointing at a green dot. When that icon is displayed, press the shift key and left click the arrow, but don't release the mouse button. Drag the cursor over to the dimension you want an additional leader going to and then release. Note, this only works for features that are all the same size. Hope this helps,
I don't know about dimensions but with note's after placing the first arrow ctrl clicking will place additional arrows.
That's exactly what I'm looking for. Right down to placing arrows for multiple fillets.
I tried your solution but when I hover over the arrow I don't get the icon with the green dot. Is there a setting or parameter I need to change?
Thanks for your help.
Try selecting the dimension first. When it's highlighted, there should be pick boxes at the end of each arrow. Hovering over those should bring up the arrow pointing to a node icon.
Hopefully this should get you what you are looking for.
I found my problem. I was pointing at the dimension arrow, not at the arrow on the leader.
Again, thanks for your help.
Right click on the leader and select "Insert New Branch"
Just as an aside, I don't prefer this method only because it seems to create an extra jog point from the original leader line as well as the extra leader.
Using the shift+drag method keeps all the leaders leading to the same source. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but that's what's driving my thought process here.
Your right, I was having trouble with the shift+drag method as well because I was not selecting the dim first. Now I see that the shift+drag is better.
