Hi there,
I would like to know if there is a way to keep the same ratio between 2 dimensions of multiple parts.
As you can see I start bij making a base construction sketch in dimension 1000x2000.
I start with drawing 'a' and dimension 'd'. the other lines of the square touch the base sketch (so it changes later if I adjust the size)
Then I sketch 'c' and dimension 'f', the rest touches the base sketch.
Then I draw 'b' and make collinear relations with 'a' and 'c'
So now if I changes the main dimension of the base sketch from 2000 to 1600 you get the next image.
But 'd' I gave a dimention earlier so this size does not change.
How can I keep the ratio between 'd' and 'e' so it look more the same?
It would be nice if you can say: 'd' is always 1/4th of dimension e' for example
Any clever solutions would be appreciated.
You can relate them via equations in SOLIDWORKS. You can either create global variables and then assign the values to these dimension OR directly apply the equations to the dimensions.
