Are there any settings I can tweak to make Solidworks more "intelligent" about rebuilds? Or at least reduce their frequency?
I'm working with a complex Eiffel Tower model with excruciatingly long rebuild times. Sometimes the rebuilds are entirely unnecessary. e.g. When I edit a sketch, even if that sketch has NO children or features derived from it, Solidworks still deems it necessary to go and rebuild everything after it in the tree. Is that expected behavior? (I would think the software should track dependencies and avoid rebuilding features that aren't impacted by the change)
I'm not the only one who thinks Solidworks goes overkill on rebuilds: SolidWorks 2014 - Rebuild Overkill?
Thanks in advance for any helpful tips!
