multiple service packs on same assembly

Has anyone had problems with solidworks 2007, when users with different service
packs access, modify, and save an assembly. Although we are all currently running on sp3.1, for a time some users were on sp3.0. Our IT department believes that the varying service packs were the cause of our crashes.
Any thoughts?

We do not see that and I have users at all different SP's of SW2007. From SP0.0 to SP4.0.

  Sounds like your IT guys are lazy... I won't say it could never happen, but many other hardware / software related issues could be the culprit and your IT guys have tried to take an easy out and blame Solidworks. I consider myself very skilled at trouble shooting and solving PC crashes. There are too many issues to cover in one post. I would start by making sure you rule out antivirus, recently installed software, out of memory conditions, overheating CPU, Poor Power Supply Voltage etc.

    i am the IT department for our users, and when we have SW issueslike that it's usually because someone didn't put in a good design,not because of varying service packs. i mean, we've got fromSW06 SP5.1 all the way through SW07 SP4.0 and except for theincompatibility between 06 and 07, we have virtually no issues.
