Hello,
I have, in the past with autocad2000 , sketched Wing Ribs for a remote control Biplane ( to the best ofmy sketching skills at the time), using arcs.
Question is:
Is there a more correct use of geometry technique available for
sketching an airfoil symmetrically?
Using a spline, seems to be too much work to get the morecorrect result.
(at least for the leading edge)
Any suggestions?

I have created many model airplane airfoils using SolidWorks.
The best resource is "Selig's Low Speed Airfoils" a book about the study of model airplane airfoils. In this book, you'll find complete x,y coordinates of hundreds of airfoils. In SolidWorks, study the Help File for Insert Curve thru Coordinates. With a little practice, you'll be creating smooth airfoils in no time.
Good luck.
