Transfering license

We own 1 license of SW2007. Is there any reason why we can'tinstall it on multiple PCs and then use the "TransferLicense" utility to move the license around manually asneeded? Does Solidworks (the company) have a problem withthis kind of activity?

I realize there's a network license we can get but frankly I'm notsure we want to deal with that and frankly the need to run thesoftware on another PC would be pretty infrequent.

No one else has this question

Correct Answer
"Transfer License" only takes a minute or two. I was noton the "Activate" end so I don't know how quick it is (SWwas already installed). You are looking at an hour to do a freshinstall and update.

I can't see why the company would be concerned with youmoving the license. The system keeps it "one license - oneuser".

  Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking (regarding how use of the license is still limited to one seat at a time).
  
  We've already transfered the license once and it was essentially instant. Release on one machine, acquire on another. It a way it's like using Solidworks as a hosted network license service.
  
  I'll contact them or our VAR anyway just to be sure.
