I am trying to figure out how Solidworks 2014 stores the equations between parts.

Am I correct in assuming that all sub-level components in an assembly which share values with the upper level will see those equations defined in the upper level itself?

As illustrated in picture Equations_Level_0.jpg attached, do I have to understand that Part1 which is a component of the upper assembly has its variables calculated and "pushed" to it from that upper level assembly and that the equations in the component itself are nothing but plain values ?Equations_Level_0.jpg
