A question about best practices in dimensioning. I have a square part with rounded corners. I would like to set an origin in the upper left corner for dimensioning features in the part (absolute dimensioning over incremental dimensioning). The origin point will be a bit off from the part because of the rounded corners—it exists where the two edges formerly intersected. 1) how to set that as origin, 2) is there a standard symbol that will denote that origin point as the place from which my (in this case) X and Y dimensioning will originate? I like the cross-hairs symbol, but I realize that it might not be appropriate for this application.
