We are considering implementing the use of the subject mentioned tools (we already use routing). I am curious to know how many actually do use this?
Has any one come across the serious problems with the Routing Library Wizard which information does not correctly correspond with the XML files it produces?
One of our users who concentrates specifically on the electrical side of our business (with whom is very proficient) has encountered many problems with the software. Is it worth the implementation of the additional software?
Tally and Thoughts?
I have not used the SW Electrical package but from my 40 years of designing Control Systems, I believe that most of the value can be found in designing the 3D control cabinet designs. Therefore I wrote a white paper: Is 3D Control Cabinet Design Software Cost Effective? White Papers
However, to get the 3D design to cost effective there needs to be a good library of electrical components. About 3 years ago I began to develop such a library which is now available SW Products .
An example of the use of the electrical library is shown below:
The project required over 80 components and was completed in a little over 2 hours.
Hope this helps.
