Faster Dual Core or Slower Quad Core?

For those who don't check CPU prices everyday like myself, a fast Intel Quad Core CPU and a faster Dual Core CPU can be had for under $300 a piece. I am referring to the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2.4GHz) and the Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 (3.0 GHz) My question is: Which would be better for running Solidworks?

I realize that Solidworks itself is not really multi threaded except for some parts like drawings, Photoworks, and COSMOS. So my guess is that the higher clock speed of the Dual core(3 Ghz vs 2.4 Ghz) combined with the highe FSB speed (1333MHz vs 1066MHz) would be better to have than 2 additional cores. What do you think?
