Hi everyone,

I have been reading a lot of these forums about thickening and also using the knit function to turn a surface body into a solid body.

However, my surface is composed of only a single surface and it is not enclosed, and for some reason I cannot get it to thicken at any thickness.

My ultimate goal is to sketch on this object and make circular cuts in it - hence why I need it to be a solid body instead of a surface body. I made the surface body from a collection of points in a point cloud that I converted to a surface body using the surface wizard in the scan to 3d add-in.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot how to make it so I can use this piece as a thin solid body?

Thanks!
