Unfortunately, no; however, I just gave up on figuring it out are reloaded a previous version and am trying to avoid the error message. I was just curious about the message since I had not seen it before.
As per my experience I had seen it in case of beam elements with no penetration. Try avoiding the same.
Actual study files would have helped us to perform a root cause analysis.
Nandish, thank you for your help. I know it is a pain not being able to provide the files, but I am not allowed. Thank you for telling me what your experience with this was.
David
Hi David, there are two causes for the error;
1 - As Nandish says, if you have assigned no-penetration with beams - To avoid simply do not use this type of contact for beams.
2 - If you have multiple no penetration component contacts - To avoid this consolidate no penetration component contacts, or use local contacts sets instead.
Cheers
Steve
Could you upload the model please?
