Hey, everyone. First time posting here, but I wanted to get this idea going.
If you've ever made a sketch and had it get all mangled when you go to size everything properly, you know how frustrating it can be to have a line cross over or an arc get tangled up because you made your sketch the wrong initial size.
I was using a free version of the cloud based CAD modeler called OnShape (OnShape.com) and they had an auto-scale function that kicked in when making sketches. It basically works like this: You draw your basic shape like you normally do, and once you put down your first dimension, the whole sketch scales itself to accommodate that one change. It keeps things from jumping around and acting unpredictably.
What do you guys think? Is there something like this already in SW that I am just unaware of?
