What should I enter there?
I don't know about if you try to print to a printer that is different than your default printer, but I've always been able to put my printer in shorthand like this:
Const SwPrinter as String = "\\Canon MP210 series"
Without all the other path and server info, and it has always worked for me. You might try it, but I don't know if this will work if you are trying to access a printer that is not set as default on your machine.
Its looking for your print server or the machine the printer is attached to, so it would be something like "\\server01\xerox phaser 5500N GPD PS".
Also try using the IP address of the printer instead of the server name.
Ahh i know the IP address but i don't know the server
The IP address will be sufficient as Martin suggested
it's not work with ip...probably the macro doesn't work!
Why not ask SolidWorks what to use?
Open up a drawing. Set it to print to the printer you want. Then, run this macro:
InputBox "Your printer is:", "Info for you", Application.SldWorks.ActiveDoc.Printer
You can copy the string from the input box and paste into your code.
