Like the description says, I'm presently running a server with the name "XY-Z". When I type "XY-Z" for the computer name on a client computer to log in, the login fails, citing that the computer name was probably wrong. If I use the IP address of the server, I can gain access to the username and password fields and log into the vault with the client just fine. This issue only started after updating (to SP3 2015) and restarting the server. I am not mistyping the vault name on the client end, and this is the case for all of the clients networked to the vault.

The problem sounds like a DNS issue, get your IT dept to investigate. You could try pinging the server name from the client and see if there is a response.
