I understand the concept of the freeze bar, but we have so MANY issues with it
For some reason it randomly turns itself on when we are editing parts in an assembly
Has anyone else seen this behaviour?
NO never seen it getting turned on itself. Could be a reason that some unknowingly turned the option on while doing some changes to the settings under Tools > Options
I have gone thru the settings & can't find anything that would suggest we see the activity we do. We have it turned off but it automatically fires at pints midway thru our model tree
I would suggest you to please use Rx and capture the issue. And finally report to your VAR.
Deepak, That would be great if I could, but alot of the bugs / issues we see are very difficult to repeat
I know this makes it even more difficult to get them fixed
That's a big reason I put them on the forums, If we spread the word maybe someone will figure out the pattern & capture it on RX
Once I can replicate a glitch I always submit it
We have numerous issues that still need to be captured
Do you have any in-context relations in that part?
90% of our parts in the assembly do have external references
Please read this and see if any of these situations apply to you:
2015 SOLIDWORKS Help - Changes Affecting Frozen Features
These really do not apply to what we see, we have the freeze bar disabled & all of a sudden it turns itself on & freezes half the model tree
Interesting. Have not heard of such a problem. If you do not get a good answer on this thread, please open a support ticket with us.
Options>System>un-check 'enable freeze bar' will disable permanently.
We already have set that option & it still comes back
