Hello. i have a light bulb behind a glass on a wall fixture. How can I set the surface of the bulb to be a light emitting material?
set its material to white LED, and increase the luminous intensity
Or add a point of light in an assembly???
OK I found materials, many metals, some non metals,
glass, wood, rubber, but no led. Where should I be looking?
Along with Jason suggested.
Make sure your glass is a glass material and not a transparent part.
OK Sounds good.
In the regular parts editor, I get to assign appearances
but I don't see how I can assign materials. Is this only
possible in the SimulationExpress environment. Or can
I get materials to emit light in the regular plain-jane editor?
Open your part. Right click Material in Tree explorer and select Edit Material. select a material and then click Apply Button
but how do you get to the material called White LED
that Jason recommends if it doesn't show on the list?
There is a group of materials called light. You should find LED's in there.
