Ok….I am reaching here…..but a number of our assembly drawings keep updating with Unauthorized changes.
I understand that all it would take is for someone to make and Unauthorized change and check it in (whether that be, modification of a part, parameter or configuration).
But sometimes none of that has changed. Case in point: engineer1 had a copy of a large drawing / assembly stored on his local drive. He makes modifications to the Assy / Drawing only to come back the next day with most of his work missing.
Just curious what you all do to prevent Unauthorized changes? IS there a LOCKDOWN or FREEZE command.
Note: We no longer use PDMworks (but when we did, we would get the same from time-to-time)
We’re using Agile Engineering Collaboration.

Thanks in advance for any advice you may offer.

Are the "unauthorized changes" always work being undone? If that is the case then maybe the engineer is accidentally checking out the vault version of the files and overwriting their local (newer) copy. One of my coworkers can't seem to grasp the whole PDM thing and for a while he seemed to think that at the beginning of each day when he wanted to continue work on a project he had to check out the files again.
