I'm trying to make a mask but am fairly new to Solidworks. I can make things that are more geometrical but am having problems trying to make a mask, which has a curved shape. I figured the easiest way to do this was to draw 3 sketches and use loft. You can see these sketches below, but when I try to use loft is says "Loft operation failed to complete" and I'm not sure why. I am using "guide curves influency type: to next" and no tangency. I will say that some of the sketches aren't fully defined because I tried and I don't know what relation or dimension I need to add. But they are defined as best as I can.
I can add the file if needed. Thanks.
Ciara,
This is an approach, but John will also respond when he has time to do so. I say that because there are many ways to do this and he may have a better way to do it than I am showing.
Thanks,
Mike
P.S. To loft half of your teardrop, if you don't already have two segments, you can right click on the entity while you are in sketch mode and click "Split Entities", which you can then select via "Selection manager during your loft creation stage.
