I have heard that If you have active commercial subscription, you can take the CSWP exam for free. could you please tell me how to get this? I have already signed up and have the account but I don't see any option for free exam?
Contact your VAR.
VAR = Value Added Reseller. The company your seat of SolidWorks was purchased from. You may need to talk with your IT dept or whoever at your company who handles the SolidWorks purchase.
anna, I don't have solidworks. I use the one in college.
That's likely the problem. Your seat of SW needs to be covered under the yearly subscription to qualify for the free test. The subscription costs approx. $1400 in the US. Considering that the tests cost less than $100, buying the individual test is likely the smart answer.
Login to customerportal.solidworks.com, click on certification (bottom right column) and on the top righthand you will find the code to purchase the exam at no cost.
I clicked on the certification and on the next page, I don't see any code on the top right hand to purchase the exam. here is the picture of what I see.
If you are a student than you are probably not on active subscription. But you might want to try the link at the top right Certification Offers for Subscription Service Customers**
To take (probably only the CSWA) exams as a student for free, your school needs to become a CSWA provider (and have 45 or more licenses on active subscription). They can find more information here: Certification Programs for CAD Students SOLIDWORKS
If you attend a User Group meeting, they have been giving out codes for free.
