I tried to rename a file in Vault and got this message - I checked "where used" and found nothing

yes, it's correct project when I rename the assembly
when you check the "where used" tab, are you checking for "all versions"?
Did you check the archive directory to see if the file in question is in there? The location for the archive directory is found on the lower left corner of the "Projects" tab in PDM Vault Admin.
Just check you are in the correct project.
Sounds like it's reverted to "Default" or another non-Vault project file.
