I am trying to automate my process after a drawing has been released, and would like to know if it is possible, and what the code should look like, to incorporate the "Publish to eDrawings" function into a macro?
You need to add this line in your macro:
swApp.RunCommand swCommands_Publish_To_Edrawing, ""
You could also use SaveAs option/function and incorporate that into the macro.
I thought about that, but the reason why I would like to open up eDrawings is because I also save the first page of the drawings as a JPG, and the resolution of SolidWorks JPG is much lower than that of eDrawings. So if I can call the command to publish it to eDrawings, I can easily save them from there to the two different locations.
OK, you could use swCommands_Publish_To_Edrawing
can you guide me a little more on how to use that command?
GREAT!!! Thanks.. that is exactly what I was looking for!!
