I've attached an image for clarification...
Both my drawing and my model units are set to Custom (Where the Length unit = "feet & inches"). My dimensions show correctly (include the trailing zero for inches as 1'-0"), but when I bring in a note and link to a Cut List Length, the formatting doesn't keep the -0" afterward (instead it populates as 1').
How do I fix this? Our engineering group is adamant that the -0" must be included.
Thanks,
Shaun
I've played with this issue some more and it seems that my issue is caused when the document units use a fractional vs decimal value.
If I set my units to fractional as below...
I get this, 1' instead of the expected 1'-0"
But, if I set my units to decimal as below...
I get this, the expected format 1'-0.000"
Is this a known issue in SolidWorks? I can't seem to find any supporting info on Google about it.
By the way, I'm using SW 2014 - we're upgrading to 2015 next week, maybe. Can anyone else running 2015 verify if this is still an issue?
Thanks,
Shaun
