Hello everyone, this is my first post in the forum. I am very glad to learn, share and succeed by joining this forum.
I am a newbie in solidworks. I am trying to make an exactly same toggle clamp as sample. The lever component is a little bit more complicated. If I understand it right, I need to use 3d sketch tool to do it. My plan is to draw 3d sketch for half side, extrude the 3d sketch to give it thickness, then mirror it. After I have finished my 3d sketch, I used boss extrude tool, but it failed due to geometry condition. I don't know what condition must be met for extrusion. My files are attached here. Can someone fix my part for me? If my approach is completely wrong, can anyone suggest what I need to do.
you cannot extrude your 3D sketch the way you did because they are not in linear. try this
