We recently upgraded SW to include Flow simulation. Flow simulation shows up under the help tab/My products. How do I get the flow simulation toolbar to show up? All I have is:Assembly, Layout, Sketch, and Evaluate.
You have to activate it under the Add-ins, then if it doesn't show up by default you can add the toolbar through the view->toolbars menu.
Non of these show up in the tools/Add-Ins.
Is this on a network license or stand alone? If network try using the license manager to return the license (as if you are changing computers) and then re-activate it in order to ensure it is reading the most recent changes.
On a solo installation you may need to use the installation files in order to add the Flow license number.
Network license. SolidNetWork License manager shows Flow Simulation as available with 1 total and 1 free.
Do you have a file open? SW only adds Flow when there is a file open.
Yes, part is open.
I'm not sure then. My SW licenses are networked but my Flow are stand alone so I just have to check it in add-ins.
I'd suggest contacting your VAR, that's what they're there for.
Thanks for your time Chris. Contacting VAR now.
What did you find out Steve?
This was some kind of install error. After uninstalling and re-installing, the simulation tab/toolbar is now visible and functional. The VAR did not really have a good explanation, but they were able to help me get going.
