3D Content Central surface only models

I was trying to use a Rockwell Automation motor, the MPL-x310x-xJ72AA and after downloading and opening the file I noticed it was a surface only model...I couldn't add weight to it.

I was wondering if this is a 3D content Central issue or if its a problem with Rockwell Automation's model.

Jan,

Their models are downloading as Surface Bodies. I guess it's the way that Rockwell Automation have decided to provide their models...as a space model. I have downloaded plenty of other suppliers models that come in as Solid Bodies in the past...some are dumb solids & some have a SolidWorks Feature tree for the parts.

Create a sphere or small cylinder/rectangular solid body in the part itself and then you can assign the mass to the surface model using the override mass properties.
