If we were to upgrade to the latest version of SolidWorks, will we be able to open all of our legacy 2006 parts and assemblies and still be able to see and modify the feature tree?
How far back does the latest version allow in terms of backwards compatibility with previous versions?
You can open any older file in a new version of SolidWorks and work with them. Once you save them, they'll be converted to the version you're using.
However, you can't open new files in older versions of SolidWorks.
