I have a assembly that already created with several mates. When I use that assembly in a another assembly,I cant use previous mates.
Have any solution for this problem? How to use mated assembly in another assembly?
Thank in advance
Here is one idea. If you have two parts in the first assembly, like a hinge that can rotate around a pin.
When you put that into a second assembly, it no longer rotates. Is that what you mean?
If so, try setting the first assembly to "Solve as Flexible" within the second assembly.
If you are expecting mates to be re- used on top level assembly, the answer is you can't until you assign smart mates to the assembly.
If your are expecting mates to be still there on second or lower level. Then I suspect your configurations are swtiched. Go check your configurations.
It will be good if you can upload some examples. Easier for people who are helping to understand better
Yes I want to re-use the mates in top level assembly.
I cant understand way that you have expressed.please describe more. How to assign smart mates?
I am a beginner for SW.I cant understand your technical words.(Top level assembly/second level/lower level)
Correct me If I wrong.
Lower level means an assembly that created by using only parts.
second level means an assembly that use above mentioned.
This is my FeatureManager Design Tree.I cant use any mates that I previously implemented in HIGHLIGHTED ASSEMBLIES
See if this helps.
