I have created a 3D assembly of a system I wish to simulate. The model I have created is real size, but for simulation I wish to scale this down. Is there a way of doing this other than redoing everything?
Non parametric method: You can save the assembly as part. Then use scale feature. Finally convert them back to assembly using method suggested here: Assembly from Part – No mates required
Parametric Method: Use this macro to scale down dimension: Model Rescaler macro from http://www.lennyworks.com
Out of interest, what sort of simulation? Why not just run the simulation at full size?
I will be running it in CFD. The geometry is quite complex and has lots of different parts so the mesh is very large. Just scaling it to try and reduce the simulation time
I see. Don't forget to also scale all your fluid properties then
Thanks very much for your help, I think I managed to do it.
