    SW2015 and Office 2007

    Lenny Lucatino

Is anyone using SW2015 with Microsoft Office 2007?  Office 2007 is no longer supported by SW starting with the 2015 version but tech support can't tell me what will not work as a result.  Just wondering if anyone has tried it and which problems they have encountered if any.  Thanks!

            Hello Lenny,

I use SW2015 sp3 and use Office 2007 Excel for my design tables. So far, knock on wood, I haven't experienced any issues.

              According to our VAR:

SOLIDWORKS 2015 still supports the use of Microsoft Office 97-2007 file formats (.doc and .xls) because these are supported by Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010.  Since they are supported by latest versions of Microsoft Office, they should work. There have not been any issues reported for MS office 2007 with SolidWorks 2015.

We are using SW2015 and Office 2007, so far no problems.
