I need to make a transition sheetmetal part. When I try to create the loft I get errors that the bend radius is too large. I haven't done many of these. Any ideas?

You need to get rid of any points, the profile needs to be smooth, either as a straight line, constant radius or line segments with fillets where they join, what I did was added a circle on top of your sketch and made your sketch line a construction line. Sketch 1 appears to have a scallop and the only way I know is to add them in the flat pattern.

I used your advice to remove the points. What I did was create 2 new 3d sketches referencing the existing 3d sketches and used a spline. This seemed to work and I was able to use the lofted bend tool and create an unfoldable sheet metal part. This should work well.

I made the piece with operations surface and if i want to make thikness, you can use the operations thikness.
But use short segments.
Miguel - Thomas wants the part as sheet metal so he can flatten it
The help is talkig about planes (they can be parallel or not) so it has to be a 2D sketch

Miguel - your part is not Sheet Metal, it is just a loft extrude - cannot flatten
This part is a Sheet metal part, It has 3 sheet metal parts.
