PCF file format

Hi...

Any body know what is software that can read pcf file format ?
As I know, we can export piping as pcf, but how about the next process ?

The PCF file you can open with the programs from Aliashttp://www.alias.ltd.uk

The Program is named ISOGEN. You can make with it automaticIsometric Drawings.
Also you can use it as an interface to pipe stress analysisprograms.

  we've been talking with the people of Alias in order to evaluate if we want to buy a license of their I-Run or not (with which you can process the pcf-files generated by SolidWorks). The problem is that they claim that the pcf-file is a file format that already existed as a standard file. They are telling us that the helpdesk of SolidWorks should show us how to create a correct pcf file that contains all the data you need in order to produce a correct isometric drawing.
  
  Is there anybody experienced in this? Or could somebody from the SolidWorks helpdesk show me where I can find information about how to create a correct PCF file? Because in the standard library of SolidWorks you find hardly any information about this function.....

    Hi,
    
    There may be a little confusion here. Currently, the SW interface to .pcf does not accomodate all possible styles of fitting, joins, welds etc. Because of this, if you have used more specialised fittings they won't be written to the .pcf file in exactly the correct format. The interface also does not support formed bends in pipes.
    
    This is something we are actively working hard to address.
    
    The other element of this is that the parts need to have an Isogen SKEY added. The SKEY is a 4 letter code (in most cases it's 4 letters) that defines the component type. The proper code must be added to the fitting. The code tells Isogen the style of symbol to use. This SKEY can be added using the routing component wizard, or using the document properties. I think this is quite well covered in the on-line doc.
    
    In the Wizard there is a drop down box containing a few sample SKEY's, if the key you need is not in the list just type it in.
