Re: Is there a way to make an assembly into one part?
Kevin Pymm May 21, 2015 6:35 AM (in response to Richard Sullivan)Click "Save As" & select "Part" from the "Save as type" box, then choose from the list below that how you want the geometry saved & click "Save".
Edit: Just thought....if you mean several parts from within the assembly, rather than the whole assembly as a part? Then you can select the parts, right click on one of them, choose "Form new Sub-Assembly", open the assembly & save that as a part.

Re: Is there a way to make an assembly into one part?
joseph Isravel May 21, 2015 9:45 AM (in response to Richard Sullivan)Hi Richard,
If you just want to have one assembly file and all the parts inside into it, you can also make all the parts inside the assembly Virtual.
This way you are using only file and all the piece parts reside inside the assembly file itself.
Right click on the part ->Make virtual.
Thanks,

Re: Is there a way to make an assembly into one part?
John Stoltzfus May 21, 2015 6:33 AM (in response to Richard Sullivan)Depending on the assembly, after you save it as a part like Kevin mentioned, you could try to use the Combine feature.
