Solidworks 2015 MateEntity2 referenceComponent super slow

Question asked by Armando Saksono on May 19, 2015

I have two assemblies, one file is 2015 file format and the other is 2013 file format

Both assemblies are exactly the same apart from the file format 2015 vs 2013.

When I say 2013/2015 file format, I mean all the parts within the assemblies are in that same 2013/2015 respectively.

Both files have 300 components in it

When I use SW 2013 opening 2013 SLDASM. And I call MateEntity2 referenceComponent for all 300 parts. this takes 0.2 seconds - it is really fast

When I use SW 2015 opening 2015 SLDASM. And I call MateEntity2 referenceComponent for all 300 parts. this takes 30 seconds - really slow

When I use SW 2013 opening 2015 SLDASM. And I call MateEntity2 referenceComponent for all 300 parts. this takes also 30 seconds - really slow

the file is a simple assembly, with 300 blocks , linked with mates.

so if I understand correctly 1 part has 2 mates, each mate has two referenceComponent

Any one can test or confirm? or seen this before?

Thank you
