When i checked this assembly drawing into PDM, duplicate drawings are created?
Thus is confusing as various people work on this drawing, some work on draw1 and some draw2 overwriting each other’s work.
Why did this happen? How to fix?
hit "generate report" to see if they're tryly duplicate
They are not duplicates, they are the same drawing. The drawing contains a view of 428585 and it also contains a view of 324600, so it appears under both of those. However there should not be any issue of various people working on it at the same time, because when you take ownership of one of them it should register that ownership in all displayed locations. Is that not happening? Notice how both instances of them show the same revision. If someone makes a change and checks it in it will update both of them. If you have someone saying that their changes got overwritten by the next person to edit then either the first person forgot to check it in when they were finished or the second person actually undid the first person's changes.
I have seen this at times. It normally occurs when a drawing is sharing more than 1 part/assy as in a multipart drawing. The reference gets shown to both of the parts/assy's referenced on the drawing. Regardless of how many times it is shown, there will only be 1 instance maintained in the vault.
