That is a very unorthodox way of revision management. I don't think you can have drawing "configurations". The best I can offer is you could make a copy of the drawing and append the rev level to each drawing file name, or you could copy the sheet(s) so you keep each drawing revision as separate sheets in the same drawing file.
Use Custom Property Tab Builder, then create your own revision tables that you control through the custom properties which are done on the part level..
