Attached is a photo of my assembly. You can see my edge lines are dotted/dashed.. This is new. I DID just install an updated video card.
Any idea on how to get them back to solid lines?
That looks like the tangent edge display setting. You can right click in the view and choose Tangent Edge > Tangent Edges Visible if you want them solid or Tangent Edges Removed if you want them gone. Also if you want those solid or hidden when you are viewing the model too you can go to System Options > Display/Selection > Part/Assembly tangent edge display and pick the setting you want.
This sounds likely to be linked to the new graphics card which you have given the machine. Make sure that the certified drivers are installed for the card you have installed. This can be checked by opening the SolidWorks RX program freom SolidWorks Tools in your start menu.
In the diagnostic Menu you should see information regarding the graphics card and a status on the driver:
(As you can see i need to update mine..)
If you are not using a certified card (found here: Graphics Card Drivers | SOLIDWORKS ) you may want to update the drivers to latest AMD/Nvidia drivers from the relevant website.
If this doesnt fix the issue, check your system options in SolidWorks and up the Image Quality, as it could just be the settings for the actual rendering of the lines in SolidWorks.
